Sunday fundays

Here are two terrific doggy days out to tempt you off the sofa this Sunday 11 September 2011:
Dogs Trust Snetterton is organising a fun dog show as part of the Norfolk Gala Day. As well as dog agility there’ll be a number of hotly-contested events including waggiest tail, best rescue dog, best young handler and lookalikes, while a host of interactive games include a ‘giant weave’ to find the fastest dog weave time in Norfolk! The gala at the Norfolk Showground starts at 10am; the dog show kicks off from 11am. Entry costs £1 per dog per class and goes towards the care and upkeep of dogs at the Dogs Trust Snetterton’s rehoming centre.
● Canine hydrotherapy complex Paws to Splash in Carlisle is holding a Canine Country Fayre. It’ll be tons of fun with around 10 classes and competitions to enter, plus a canine beauty parlour, lots of stalls and a chance to take your pet’s paw prints. It takes place from 1pm to 4pm at Coombs View, Nunclose, Armathwaite, Carlisle, Cumbria. For directions see www.pawstosplash.co.uk
