Snow may have caused havoc across much of the country, but for one homeless hound it has been welcome relief.
Eight-year-old Labrador cross Buster, a four-legged resident at Dogs Trust Darlington, was diagnosed with a grass allergy two years ago, which means he is unable to set foot on grass – but, luckily, the snow provides a layer of protection for his paws.
Buster is looking to find an adult home near the beach, with owners who love going for long coastal walks as much as he does.
Julie Keenan, Dogs Trust Darlington assistant manager, says: “Buster is an affectionate, fun-loving lad. He would be best suited to an adult home with children aged over 14, and he would need to be the only pet in the home. He is on part foster, which means the cost of treatment for his allergies will be covered by Dogs Trust.”
