How to check your dog for ticks

Would you know if your dog picks up anything nasty among the grass while out walking? A short video has been launched to support the ‘Be Tick Aware’ campaign by FRONTLINE® Spot On and to help us protect our dogs against ticks.
Ticks lurk in grassy areas – not only in woodlands but in urban areas too – and they look for hosts (such as dogs) to latch on to. Ticks can carry dangerous diseases such as Lyme disease, which affects both people and animals.
Presented by Radio 1 DJ Sara Cox and veterinary professional Janet Winter, and featuring Baxter the dog, the video explains how to check your dog for these pesky parasites, and offers other tips and advice on dog-walking etiquette.
