How responsible are British dog owners?

Dog mess is a big bugbear for many Brits, but research from www.wormpatrol.co.uk reveals 41 per cent of dog owners admit they don't pick up after their pet when no-one is looking, while a brazen 25 per cent say they don’t clean up – even when others can see!

Not only is dog mess unsightly and extremely unpleasant if trodden in, but there are also hidden dangers, such as worms, which can impact humans.

Nearly two-thirds of Brits who witnessed an owner failing to clean up their dog's mess chose not to confront them, with one in five saying they would rather up pick the mess themselves than confront an owner – nearly half would do nothing. What would you do?
