Hearing aid specialist Amplifon have launched their Charles Holland Awards for Brave Britons and need your help with nominations for one particular category.
Charles Holland was a British war hero and the man behind Amplifon. The engineer helped thousands of people who suffered long term hearing problems as a result of the Second World War and established Amplifon in Milan in 1950. The company now has 200 hearing centres in the UK.
The awards are a special celebration of the achievement of truly remarkable people from all walks of life, showing the Best of British. You can nominate a hero for one of the four categories through their website. The award for Hearing Pet will go to a hearing dog or other animal who has transformed the life of their owner.
Other categories include Outstanding Military Bravery, Example To Us All/Against the Odds Award and Community Champion. An overall Hearing Hero will also be chosen by a panel of judges.
You have until Monday 1 August to get your nominations in and finalists will be revealed on 22 August. Winners will be announced at a special lunch at the Churchill War Rooms in London at the end of August. The overall Hero will win a £1,000 trip to Italy and those who nominate will be entered into a free prize draw for a chance to win £250 M&S vouchers.
