A crossbreed with an uncanny theatrical resemblance is searching for a new home after being found as a stray.
Dogs Trust Kenilworth is currently caring for five-year-old crossbreed named Rocco, whose distinctive fur collar has been compared to the ruff worn by 16th century poet and playwrite, William Shakespeare.
His appearance has even led to staff nicknaming him 'The Woof in the Ruff', and they hope a new owner will enter stage left and give him a happy home.
Sandra Foulds, Dogs Trust Kenilworth Rehoming Centre Manager, said, "Handsome Rocco has so much potential and loves a fuss. We’re hoping that if we put him in the spotlight someone will declare their everlasting love for him.
"He loves being the centre of attention and has boundless energy so will need an active home with lots of direction to ensure he becomes a true star he is destined to be. He could potentially share the stage with another four-legged friend as well as children."
