Leicester Animal Aid to host 'Who Let the Dogs Out' - 8 July

Leicester Animal Aid will host a special event on Saturday 8 July to showcase dogs looking for their fur-ever homes and give a unique insight into the work at the Centre.

Visitors will get to meet the Centre's residents between 10am and 11.30am and receive advice from staff on all aspects of caring for a dog. An exclusive tour of the site will include access to areas not usually open to visitors, including the purpose-built admissions building 'Grant's Inn', where all new dogs have their initial health, temperament and behavioural assessments and is where 'happy tails begin'.

Becky Vickers, Kennel and Cattery Manager, said, "We believe that by bringing the dogs in individually to meet people is a brilliant way of letting their personalities shine through. It will also give the staff, who really get to know and love the dogs in their care, an opportunity to paint a picture of each dog's unique character.

"Whilst we try our hardest to make each dog's stay with us as enjoyable and stress-free as possible, the Centre isn't a substitute for a loving home environment and we want to give our dogs every opportunity of finding that forever home.

"We'd encourage anyone who is interested in re-homing a dog or wants to find out more about the work we do at the centre to come along. This will be a fun and informal event, there'll even be tea and cake!"
