Set of doggie doubles seeks love match

As Wimbledon fever grips the nation, Dogs Trust Manchester is hoping its very own set of doubles finds their love match.

Following an illness in their family, best friends Bella and Beth found themselves homeless at the Denton centre. The seven-year-olds are inseparable and staff hope a new owner comes forward to offer the pair a new home soon.

Bella and Beth are always side by side. They are pictured getting ready for a walk with Canine Carers Budd Norris & Heather Graham

Dawn Bishop, Dogs Trust Manchester Rehoming Centre Manager, says, "They are both very sweet natured and just like the best doubles tennis players  they watch each other’s every move and know exactly what the other one is about to do! Bella in particular loves to play with a tennis ball but both have some arthritis and could do with losing a little bit of weight so, unlike sporting champions, gentle exercise rather than energetic work-outs is the training regime they currently need to follow."

Airdale Bella and German Shepherd Beth are looking for a calm, quiet home and could live with sensible children aged over 14 who will respect their space.

Beth has her paws crossed in the hope that she and Bella will soon find their forever home.

Dawn says, "They have been with us a few weeks now and we’re really hoping that they will be settled comfortably in their new home, snuggled up alongside their forever family in time to watch the Wimbledon champions lift their trophies."

Bella and Beth will be rehomed under the charity’s Shared Adoption Scheme where donations will support their medical care for the rest of their lives.

If you can provide the home Bella and Beth are looking for, please call 0300 303 0292 or visit them at Dogs Trust Manchester at Parkway, Denton, Manchester, M34 3SG.
