Get yourself down to Kelmarsh Hall in Northamptonshire this weekend for what’s billed as ‘the dog and human fitness event of the year’.
Fitness guru Rosemary Conley will be there tomorrow, Friday 12 August, to talk about the Kennel Club’s ‘Get Fit with Fido Campaign’, as featured in Dogs Monthly’s August issue, and give away Get Fit With Fido starter kits.
The main action, however, will be the Kennel Club’s 7th International Agility Festival – around 2,300 dogs and their owners, from 22 countries, are expected to take part in the various agility classes, which run until Sunday 14 August and include Crufts and Discover Dogs qualifiers.
There will be also be a ‘have-a-go’ ring for visitors who want to try dog agility for the first time, plus a Companion Dog Show on Saturday 13 August, which will begin booking entries from 11am.
Gates open 7.45am and entry is free (car parking £5). For more information visit www.thekennelclub.org.uk/agilityfestival
