On Saturday 25 August, five women will lead a historic march through the streets of Cambridge city centre, and they are urging the rest of the country to join them.
The Save the Harlan Beagles march will call for the immediate closure of the UK’s last remaining breeder of Beagles for use in vivisection, and an independent government enquiry into the efficacy of testing human medicines on non-human animals.
The march will be silent; a mark of respect for the Harlan Beagles. The event will begin at 12 noon, Parkers Piece, Cambridge CB2 1AA.
The Cambridge branch of LUSH – a cruelty-free cosmetics company – will be supporting the event. Customers will also have the opportunity to sign a hard copy version of the campaign’s online petition letter to the Home Office.
