Four-year-old Norfolk Terrier Star, belonging to Charlie Elphicke MP for Dover and Deal, has triumphed as this year’s Westminster Dog of the Year.
    The competition took place today (25 October 2012) in Victoria Tower Gardens, Westminster. The entrants canvassed for votes, before meeting the judges and taking part in a “Doggy Dash”.  
    Charlie Elphicke said: “I’m thrilled Star has been recognised, and with her by my side we will continue to campaign for important dog welfare issues.” 
    In second place was Cholmeley, a Labrador owned by David Burrowes; third place was awarded to Gordon, a Rottweiler owned by Lindsay Hoyle.
