If you want to learn more about diabetes in pets, Pet Diabetes Clinic comes live from the Royal Veterinary College at 7.30pm tonight (Monday 4 November).
In a live-stream studio talk, TV vet Matt Brash will be discussing how to spot signs and symptoms of diabetes and what treatment options are available. As with people, diabetes is becoming increasingly common in dogs in the UK, especially in those over six years old, overweight or of certain breeds.
The clinic marks the start of Pet Diabetes Month, which aims to raise awareness of the condition; throughout November, owners can have their dogs and cats tested for diabetes for free at participating vets.
