Marley the Regal Beagle

A REGAL BIRTHDAY WISH

One of the canine residents of Battersea Dogs & Cats Home is sending a special message to the charity’s Patron – Her Majesty the Queen.

Marley the Regal Beagle is busy seeking prospective new owners at the world-famous rescue centre, but still found time to send a 90th birthday message to Her Majesty at TheQueensBirthdayBook.com
“Happy 90th Birthday Your Majesty – that’s 373 in dog years! I’m Marley the Regal Beagle, Ma’am’s best friend, and I wanted to let you know from the whole Battersea Dogs & Cats Home family that we are so proud and honoured to have you as our Patron. We hope you have a very special day.”

Marley’s message will sit alongside many others being collected to mark Her Majesty’s special year.

Animals and humans alike can contribute to the book by adding their birthday wishes or their personal stories of meeting the Queen, and sharing photos and videos of their street parties and celebrations on her official birthday weekend 10-12 June.

As well as capturing a huge display of public affection and gratitude, The Queen’s Birthday Book will also raise funds for the hundreds of charities The Queen is a patron of – including Battersea Dogs & Cats Home – through the sale of a commemorative medal specially issued by the London Mint Office.

The non-profit-making book has been created by the Online Book Company, which develops digital books to support charity and personal fundraising efforts, and to mark significant events. The company was founded by Managing Director Jonathan Haward after he created a book in memory of his brother who died in an RAF flying accident in 1999.

Jonathan says: “We decided to develop The Queen’s Birthday Book to help capture and share some of the incredible public sentiment around Her Majesty’s landmark birthday, and to record this moment in British and Commonwealth history for future generations to look back on.”

Thequeensbirthdaybook.com will also contain birthday wishes from a host of celebrities including Dame Vera Lynn, Lorraine Kelly, Alan Titchmarsh, Simon Pegg, Dame Kelly Holmes, Jamie Oliver and Queen’s Brian May.
