When German Shepherd Dog Tiggle lost the litter she was carrying, she took it hard – so much so that she didn’t even react to her owners’ touch. Concerned by her grief, they put an appeal online to find Tiggle some pups in need of fostering.
“Unfortunately we have a very sad GSD who has lost her litter and is taking it badly. If anybody knows of any puppies in need of a foster mum, she is a mum in need of some puppies.”
The video showing the grieving mum was shared thousands of times – and, luckily, it didn’t take too long for some puppies in need of a mum to be found.
“You’ll all be glad to know that we may have found Tiggle some pups,” wrote Alex Cowx, who first put the appeal online. “There is a woman whose dog has had 11 puppies and is struggling to cope with the pressure of such a big litter. We are taking Tiggle to meet them today. All being well she will have a couple of foster pups to help get over her loss this evening. I will post an official update once we have seen if she is going to take to them or not. Thank you so much for all your help this far, let’s hope it pays off!”
And pay off it did, because Tiggle and the two puppies bonded right away: soon enough, they were happily filling their tummy – and, as you can see, she was much happier!
