Luna (white) and Alan (ginger) lived as street dogs in Phuket, Thailand, when they were rescued by Soi Dog and kept in their shelter for a time, safe from the illegal dog meat trade. In 2012, the pair was adopted in the UK – but a change in circumstances means that she can no longer look after them, and they need to be rehomed.
Luna is around eight to nine years of age, and is described as “happy and playful”, picking up commands very quickly. Her eyesight is no longer what it used to be, but she doesn’t let it bother her. Alan, who is between 11 and 12 years old, is dealing with some of the problems that some with age – some bowel issues and wobbly back legs – but he still won’t pass up a chance to go out for a walk.
The Soi Dog volunteers are hoping to rehome the two together, but are teaching them to cope separately in case that may not be possible. If you think you may provide a home for one or both of them, email email@example.com for more information.
