Two best friends been brought to Dogs Trust Manchester after being part of the same family all their lives. The rehoming charity is desperate to find six-year-old crossbreed Tye, and Trixie, a five-year-old Labrador, a new home together.
Dawn Bishop, Rehoming Centre Manager, says, “Tye and Trixie are absolutely adorable and always greet you with wagging tails, but when it comes to canine companions, they only have eyes for each other.
“They have found themselves homeless after one of their owners became ill, so it’s really sad for everyone, especially as they have lived with the same family since being puppies. The owners felt that in the circumstances they couldn’t give them the love and attention they deserve and are used to, so now we’re looking for another family to welcome this gorgeous two-some into their hearts and their homes.”
Both dogs love everything life has to offer, from walks to playing with their toys, and Tye in particular loves a game of fetch.
Dawn adds, “We know it’s a big commitment taking on two dogs and often dogs who need rehoming together do find they stay with us a bit longer, but they really are a happy pair so we are desperate not to separate them.
“Just like all the dogs that come to us from loving homes, they’ve been through enough having to leave behind everything they know so now we just want to do the best for them and find them a wonderful new family as quickly as possible.”
Tye and Trixie can live with children aged eight and over so if you think they could be the final piece of your family jigsaw, please call 0300 303 0292 or pop along to Dogs Trust Manchester on Parkway, Denton, Manchester, M34 3SG. To find out more visit their website.
