It takes little to guess photographer Andy Seliverstoff loves dogs: all you need to do is take a look at his work. As made clear by the name of his photography studio, GreatDaneChronicles, Great Danes hold a special place in his heart – but there is plenty of love for other gentle giants. And you know what’s even better than a gentle giant? One accompanied by a child, that’s what.
In a heartwarming series of photos, Little Kids and Their Big Dogs, Andy has captured the amazing relationship between children and their best friends, made all the more striking by the difference in size. The series has since gone viral, touching hearts around the globe, and the best photos have been printed in a book by the same title.
“I always take plenty of time with the dog who’s in front of my camera so I get to know the personality of my dog model the best I can,” Andy says on his website. “The personality and the character is unique for every individual dog. The human aspects we ofter recognise in our dogs are, among other things, what makes us feel so close to them. And it is this aspect I try to express in my photography.”
