First we had Paul the Octopus predict the results in the 2010 World Cup. Now we have psychic Storm, the retired racing Greyhound, who’s predicted that England will complete a Six Nations Grand Slam this Saturday.
If England’s team beat Ireland’s in Dublin this weekend, they will also break New Zealand’s world record for consecutive test victories.
Whether psychic or not, this black beauty is looking for a home after arriving at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home’s London centre earlier this month. According to the four-year-old rescue, England have the edge after 18 victories, which started with a 60-3 win over Uruguay in the final game of the 2015 World Cup.
Storm was provided with two identical food-filled toys, one under an Irish flag and the other under an English flag. Without hesitation, Storm headed straight for the toy under the English flag.
Rebecca Fisher, Rehoming & Welfare Manager at Battersea, said, “Storm is a lovely, affectionate boy with a bouncy nature who is always looking to please.
“It remains to be seen if his rugby knowledge is up to scratch but one thing’s for certain – he’ll make a great addition to any home.”
