The Scottish SPCA is appealing to animal lovers in Glasgow to donate blankets for animals in their Glasgow Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centre, which has already cared for over 420 animals this year.

Centre Manager Anna O’Donnell said, “We’re struggling to keep up with the demand for blankets at the moment. We hope kind-hearted locals will get behind our appeal as it would make lots of animals very happy. If anyone wants to donate to our centre they can do so by dropping by anytime between 10am and 4pm Wednesday to Monday.”

If you’re in Glasgow or anywhere nearby, blankets can be handed into the centre at 125 Kinnell Avenue, Cardonald, Glasgow G52 3RY. Bear in mind that the request is for blankets only – old duvets and pillows can’t be taken, as the animals tear them apart quite easily!
