Channel 4 TV presenter Susie Dent will be judging some of the dog classes at the Battersea Old Windsor Fun Day on Saturday 8 July.
Canine contestants of all shapes, sizes and backgrounds can compete for the crown in one of the dog classes, with categories including dog with the waggiest tail, golden oldie and most obedient dog.
And if you fancy testing your countdown skills against Susie’s, head over to the Countdown star’s conundrum corner. Here players can see if they can unscramble Susie’s anagrams to name different breeds of dogs and cats and become a conundrum champion.
Susie Dent said, “Battersea is extremely close to my heart, as I adopted cat Bo as a kitten from the charity a couple of years ago. This will my second time judging at the Fun Day and I can’t wait to get back in the show ring. I recommend it to all animal-lovers as a truly friendly, fun, and heart-warming day out.”
The Fun Day runs from 10:30am to 4:30pm at the Battersea Old Windsor centre, with parking at Savill Garden Car Park (£2.50 per hour or £10 for the day) and free park and ride service to the shelter. Free entry to the event and entrance to each class costs £2 per dog. More information on the website.
