Many of us want to give our pets the very best. For Aaron Franks, this included building his dogs their very own doggie paradise.
The dog owner made a promise to his four dogs – Tessa (10), Bruno (9), Coupe (5) and Mia (4) – that he would build them the perfect place to rest and play. After two years, the jaw-dropping three-storey structure is complete and Aaron took to Facebook to share photos of his work, much to the astonishment of fellow dog owners and dog lovers.
In the post, Aaron said the dog house includes three entrances, three swings, a swimming pool, stairs with a ramp, a fire hydrant, a mulched area where the dogs can toilet and plenty of spots to lounge around. The structure also has electricity, running water and two security cameras for safety.
Aaron says, “I have four dogs that my life revolves around. They keep me pretty busy, always on my feet. The dog house was something that I always wanted to build even as a child. It’s been a goal of mine forever but life kept getting in the way.
“A few years back I decided it’s now or never. It started slow but I made sure every month to put a little something in it. As it started coming together I got more excited, so two years in the making it’s done.
“I made a promise to my best friends (my dogs) that I would do this for them and even though they don’t know what a promise is, I do and it was important for me to follow through on my promise.”
Posting on Facebook, Aaron thanked his family for their support over the two years and adds, “My kids want me to put a flatscreen out there so they can watch animal planet but I don’t know, that might be too much.”
