Tomorrow, Friday 29, Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning will take place across the UK, bringing people together to fundraise for cancer patients – and enjoy a treat while they’re at it.

On Wednesday (27 September), a special coffee morning took place in front of the Palace of Westminster: the Chancellor of the Exchequer’s dogs – Rex the welsh terrier and Oscar the wire-haired dachshund – hosted a ‘Canine Coffee Morning’, along with owners Susan and Sophie Hammond. They were joined by other friends, including Sophie Cameron with Ginny the dachshund, Jane Cobb with Maggie the white schnauzer, and Victoria Cross with Cocoa the King Charles cavalier. The Doggy Bakery also donated two dog-friendly cakes for the occasion.

If you would like to take part to Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning (with or without your dog), it’s not too late: visit their website to find an event near you and get involved.
