London-based animal welfare charity, Mayhew, is holding a month of fundraising activities to help raise money for abandoned, neglected and vulnerable animals in the UK and overseas.
During the ‘Month of Mayhew’, the charity is asking people to get creative, from running a marathon to hosting a bake sale in aid of the charity.
Mayhew’s CEO, Caroline Yates, said, “The work we do just wouldn’t be possible without the generosity of our supporters who choose to help us in whichever way they can. We can’t wait to see the different ways our supporters will be fundraising for us this month!
“All the money raised from Month of Mayhew will go towards us helping more dogs and cats escape a life of cruelty, neglect and abandonment in the UK and overseas.”
The charity has offered some ideas including hosting a Bring your dog to work day; taking part in a marathon, cycle ride or abseil; hosting an animal-themed dress up day at school or work; holding a bake sale; hosting a dinner party dressed all in purple or organising a pub quiz.
