As this year’s wedding season begins, the thought of leaving your four-legged family members off the guest list is becoming less of a concern.
One luxury Northumberland country hotel is joining the trend and offering dog-friendly wedding ceremonies for couples.
The wedding experts at Slaley Hall understand that dogs are often seen as part of the family and including them the celebrations is an increasingly popular idea. Not only are they invited to attend the ceremony but they can even play a role such as a ring bearer or dog of honour.
At the reception, pups can relax in their owner’s hotel room and enjoy room service with the happy couple the next morning.
Jo Gregory, wedding and special events executive at Slaley Hall said, “We are seeing more and more requests for dogs to be involved in weddings, from playing the role of ring bearer to being best men. As it’s National Pet Month, we wanted to highlight that couples can include their beloved pets as part of their big day here at Slaley Hall.
“Having a wedding without him or her might seem impossible for some couples as many look at their dog like one of the family, however, we are more than happy to accommodate doggie guests and can even help to give them a starring role in the ceremony on one of the biggest days in their owners’ lives.”
The Edwardian mansion set in 1,000 acres of countryside boasts stunning grounds for a wedding photoshoot and hosts weddings all year round. For more information on Slaley Hall’s dog friendly wedding ceremonies, call 01434 673350 or email email@example.com.
