Jane Neary is planning to take on Wales’ highest peak in a sponsored hike for charity, in memory of her beloved dog Roo.
Jane’s Chihuahua (main photo) was a therapy dog who regularly visited hospitals, schools, hospices and care homes for the charity Therapy Dogs Nationwide. He was also Dogs Monthly’s HiLife Best Friends winner in 2015 and got down to the last thirty dogs in BBC’s Search for Toto.
Roo sadly passed away in January this year aged 13, following complications of Cushings disease.
Devastated, Jane decided to do something in Roo’s memory, and along with her other Chihuahua Harry, the pair plan to hike up Snowdon in June this year and raise money for the charity. Jane is also planning to change into fancy dress when she reaches the summit. Money raised will go towards funding more dogs and more therapy visits.
