It’s Valentine’s Day and if you’re looking for love then look no further than a local rescue charity.

Here are some of the homeless dogs at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home on the lookout for their perfect match after finding themselves in the care of the charity.

The charity uses an expert match-making system which looks at each person’s lifestyle, experience and expectations of a dog to find the perfect pairing. Since it was founded in 1860, Battersea has helped over 3.1 million dogs and cats find the love of their lives.

Battersea’s Centre Manager, Steve Craddock said, “While the dogs here have come into us for many different reasons, all of them have so much to offer and are ready and waiting to be loved by someone new.

“Our dogs and cats are given plenty of love and cuddles by our staff, but they’d still love to have a special someone, or a family, to call their own.

“Whether you’re looking for a small dog to curl up on your lap or a gentle giant to enjoy picturesque walks on the beach with, we definitely have the perfect match for you.”

Scooby

Likes: Big cuddles

Dislikes: Being left alone

Scooby is a big, lovable Mongrel, who loves cuddles with his favourite people and long walks in the park.

Scooby is searching for his ultimate best friend; someone who is willing to share the sofa and a Scooby snack with him.

A bit like his namesake, Scooby may be large in size, but is a big baby who doesn’t like to be left alone. He’s looking for someone to show him some love and patience.

Sally

Likes: Cheese and other Greyhounds

Dislikes: Busy places

Sally is a retired racer, and is now looking for someone to settle into a slower pace of life with.

This bubbly girl is looking for owners who have experience of tall, leggy racing dogs, and who will understand and manage her high chase drive.

Even though Sally likes the occasional run around, she’d much rather spend her time lounging on a sofa, watching reruns of your favourite TV shows.
