Bath Cats and Dogs Home have announced this year’s ‘Wag Walk’, a charity dog walk across the Bath skyline, will take place on Sunday 12th May.
Starting at the rescue centre in Claverton Down, Bath Cats and Dogs Home will be leading a mass dog walk across the beautiful Bath countryside to raise funds to help support their work rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming unwanted and abandoned local animals in need.
Rachel Jones, Head of Fundraising & Communications said, “The Wag Walk is such a great event, we love seeing dogs of all shapes and sizes and their owners having fun on this walk and raising money for the dogs in our care. We hope that all the animals we rescue have as bright a future.”
There is a choice of a two-mile or five-mile walk, and best of all every dog who signs up gets their very own stylish ‘Wag Walk’ doggie bandana to wear on the walk and take home as a memento of the day.
The walk, which is sponsored by Bath Vets, finishes at Bath Cats and Dogs Home where dogs and their owners are encouraged to stay on for a picnic with their new Wag Walk friends. Organisers hope to welcome 225 pooches on this year’s Wag Walk but places are going fast so register you and your doggie friend as soon as you can.
Registration is £15 per dog to enter and doggie sign-ups will also receive their own personalised doggie sponsorship form, if they’d like to help rescue pets even further by getting sponsored to do the walk.
