The rise of the dog-friendly city means there’s plenty of places dog owners can take their pets. But where are the most accommodating dog-friendly UK cities to go right now? has revealed the best locations for your four-legged friend to receive the pampering they deserve. Their research has looked at the number of dog salons, training centres, kennels, vets and parks relative to the population of the city.

Topping the list was Nottingham. Famed for its legends of Robin Hood, the city is also home to 16 large parks and 14 dog salons, as well as the third highest number of dog-training facilities in the country.



In second place was Liverpool with 11 dog grooming salons, 261 kennels, and a whopping 107 parks for your dog to stretch their legs.

The East Yorkshire city of Hull took third place thanks to its 26 dog training centres, 116 kennels and 46 parks. Birmingham came fourth and the Scottish capital, Edinburgh, came fifth.
