BBC Countryfile Live is back for this summer and is jam-packed with pawesome fun! Returning to Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire from the 1st – 4th August, the event is also coming up North, for the first time ever, to Castle Howard, Yorkshire, from the 15th -18th August.
Thousands of dog lovers and their four-legged friends are expected to attend the four-day event and explore everything there is to cherish about the British countryside, in the grounds of two of the most famous stately homes. There will be lots to take part in, including; competitions, demos, displays, live arena shows, hands-on activities, debates, and a range of food, drink and shopping from over 500 independent retailers and lifestyle brands to enjoy.
Hosting the Dog Lovers Arena is Blue Peter legend Peter Purves, who will be comparing a daily programme of canine talent. With all manner of breeds on show from working dogs, to sheepdogs, gun dogs and some more flamboyant performers, the Dog Lovers Arena is the perfect place to take in some marvellous displays of agility, skill and some impressive tricks. Scruffts has also chosen BBC Countryfile Live – Blenheim Palace as one of the heats for the Scruffts Crossbreed competition. Visitors and dog owners can enter their dogs to take part on both Saturday and Sunday.
BBC Countryfile Live has teamed up with PDSA to bring canine experts, dog owners, and dog lovers together. The team will be offering free dog health checks and pet first aid demos from their expert vets and nurses. ‘Hero Hounds’ will be attending, sharing amazing ‘tales’ of animal bravery and devotion to duty.
Dog food pioneers Different Dog are on a mission to set tails wagging with the first ever Dog Food Café. Watch specially trained doggie chefs prepare handmade family favourites in live cooking demonstrations. Visitors can then place their fresh food orders at the ‘Gastropup’ for four-legged festival goers to enjoy, with every recipe carefully designed by a vet and pet nutritionist to ensure the perfect balance of high-quality, fresh, natural ingredients sourced from local suppliers.
