A four-day celebration of the great outdoors, music, food, books, fresh ideas and creativity takes place from September 12 to 15 at the historic North Wales estate that once was the home of William Ewart Gladstone – four times the Prime Minister to Queen Victoria – and which is still owned by the Gladstone family.
Now in its sixth year and known for its intimate size and family-friendly atmosphere, highlights of The Good Life Experience 2019 will include campfire cooking by top chefs; music curated by BBC 6 Music’s Cerys Matthews; a wide variety of have-a-go-workshops, talks and debates; many opportunities for wild adventures and an entire programme of activities for dogs including the world’s first dog diving championship!
Among this year’s guests will be former M15 boss Dame Stella Rimington; TV vet and potter James Greenwood; Wahaca restaurant chain founder Thomasina Miers; food author and Guardian columnist Anna Jones; fashion designer and Great British Sewing Bee host Patrick Grant; the first British woman in space, Helen Sharman and veg growing doyenne Lia Leendertz.
Three-night camping passes start at £189 for adults/ £89 for 12-17s with discounts for non-campers and shorter visits and free entry throughout for under 11s. For more info/ bookings: www.thegoodlifeexperience.co.uk.
